Modal Analysis for Grid Operations (MANGO): Model and Methodlology
Small signal stability problems are one of the major threats to grid stability and reliability in California and the western U.S. power grid. The authors propose to develop and establish a Modal Analysis for Grid Operation (MANGO) procedure to aid grid operators with decision making to increase inter-area damping.
