The California Institute for Energy and Environment (CIEE) is calling for applications for the 2025 Art Rosenfeld Award for Energy Efficiency, which provides $10,000 in funding to a UC Berkeley graduate student who is committed to advancing research in energy efficiency. CIEE’s Dr. Therese Peffer and Dr. Miriam Aczel are part of a multi-institutional research team that was awarded $12,000 from the France-Berkeley Fund to advance strategies for local decarbonization, sustainability, and urban resilience.
The goal of the EcoBlock research project is to explore strategies for resilience and the rapid, equitable, and affordable reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through urban block-scale retrofitting.
